All tourist animation activities are carried out with the guidance of an interpreter-guide, designed to enrich the Cultural and Nature Tourism experience while highlighting the Natural and Built Heritage.
Van Guided Tours
The “Island Tour” car excursions last approximately 7 to 8 hours.
• Normally, the activity begins and ends at the client’s accommodation.
• Due to the length of the activity, lunch reservations are recommended at one of the many restaurants on the island. Given São Jorge’s long and narrow geography, lunch (between 12:00 and 14:00) will roughly mark the halfway point of the trip.
Customised Guided Tours
Although São Jorge can be circled in one day, it is not an island that can truly be known in a single day. Therefore, this two-day tour provides a more relaxed and enjoyable experience, with less time in the car and more opportunities to engage in complementary activities such as short hikes or visits to bathing areas.
